Review Request So far as possible, Tree Physiology's peer review process relies on electronic communications among authors, editors and reviewers. Requests for reviews are sent by e-mail. A review request includes a Web link to a page where you can see the manuscript for review and respond to the invitation to act as a reviewer. This URL is supplied in confidence, solely for the use of the reviewer. Viewing the Manuscript Manuscripts for review are in PDF format, which means that reviewers must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the document. This software it available at no charge from the Adobe Systems Web site. |

Review Format Tree Physiology does not have a particular format for reviews. Reviewers are asked to deal with any points that they consider to have an important bearing on the scientific validity of the research reported or the effectiveness with which it has been communicated. Transmitting a Review After accepting an invitation to review an article for Tree Physiology, you will be taken directly to the Manuscript Evaluation page, where you will find a link to the manuscript for review and means for submitting your comments. You will also receive an email providing you with a confidential URL giving access to the Manuscript Evaluation page, where you can enter your review at a later time. In the event of any difficulty, please email the Review Administrator. Anonymity Unless you explicity indicate a wish to identify yourself to the author(s) and the other reviewer(s), your anonymity will be strictly protected. Seeing the Other Reviews After completing your review, you will be able to return to the Manuscript Evaluation page and edit your comments until such time as the paper has been referred to the Editor for a decision. You will be notified once a decision has been made, at which time you will again have access to the Manuscript Evaluation page where, if you so wish, you can see the comments of the other reviewer(s). |
